I know I have been a super huge blogging slacker, but I've had good reasons. Reason #1) I've been traveling and visiting with family and friends. Reason #2) I have 3 big projects I'm working on that take up every bit of work time that I have.
When the projects are complete you'll hear all about them, but for now you get to hear about the fun things behind Reason #1.
Lily and I left the mountains a week and a half ago and headed to Chattanooga where we stayed a few nights with my besty. We ate good food, had lots of fun, and had some hard laughs. Mostly over some awkward family photos.
Then Lily and I packed up again and headed on to our hometown of Florence, where we've spent lots of times in parks, eaten more good food, and visited with our family and friends.
This past Wednesday evening I got out sans Bug and went on a hike with a pal. We got to the trail rather later than we needed which resulted in 2 things: some gorgeous sunset views and almost getting seriously lost in the woods. It was crazy fun.

This weekend was my favorite weekend in Florence: the Renaissance Faire. Every year a park downtown is blocked off and filled with tents and freaks, and food and swords. We spend most of the day on Saturday checking out ye olde vendors, bouncing in inflated castles (well, that was Lily), and eating food that should have caused heart failure.
Week 1 went very well. This week is all about the dreaded doctor visits and surgery at the end of the week. But hopefully we'll have time for the pumpkin patch.
